Last weekend, I met a little boy named Loki. He was a cool little kid (so far he's not much of a trickster :)) but I'm not sure that's a name I'd choose.

Would you name your child Loki?

I doubt it, while we did think a great deal about what we wanted to name our kids the idea of Loki (or any other sort) never came up. I guess some people just want a truly rare name for their kids.

While I like Loki, I doubt that I would name one of my kids after him.

Someone today asked me about the name Loki!
I told him that he shares it with a giant named Utgard-Loki.
This probably demonstrates that Loki has more in common with the race of giants than he did with the gods.

I do like Loki, he can be amusing at times, though mostly he comes off as scheming and a little malignant. (And his children include Fenrir and Jormungandr, as a statement to what he's like.) Certainly not someone I'd name my child after.

I'd name my kid Odin maybe. That sounds cool. I'd consider Loki just because I like the name.

I would probably consider the name Loki because it just sounds amazing to me, but I also have a dog named Loki so the likely hood of naming my child that have gone down.

Yeah, that would probably be kind of confusing. What dog breed is Loki?
